Les Machines de l'Île de Nantes (France) are a set of giant #mechanical animals. The Machines are located on the site where the shipyard activities of Nantes used to be. They were inaugurated on June 30th 2007, with the first parade of the Elephant - which is similar to the one from the Sultan's #Elephant show by Royal De Luxe. #steampunk

This gigantic robot elephant was built as part of the Machines on the Isle of Nantes show in France. The Machines project celebrates the time-warping fantasy worlds of Jules Verne and fantastic mechanical creations of Leonardo Da Vinci.
