Borneo - row upon row. Borneo is the third largest island in the world and is located north of Java Island, Indonesia, at the geographic centre of Maritime Southeast Asia. The island is divided among three countries: Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia.
The Cold War was a prolonged period of tension between the the Western World democracies, led by the USA and the communist Eastern Europe, led by the Soviet Union. The two leading countries, known as "superpowers," fought indirectly through proxy wars, the arms race, and the space race.
Where is our food from? This is a project for young elementary students to discover where the foods they are eating come from. It can be found also in the "Global Education Tool-Kit." It is a great way for students to study the different climates that effect plant growth in many parts of the world.
