Chocolate buttermilk cake. Bakes up nice and moist, fine densely packed moist crumb. Moist when cold too. Use sunflower oil! Added 2 oz chocolate per layer and it was too unstable. Used half dark and half regular cocoa powder. Consider adding more cocoa.
Chocolate Stout Cake...real Guinness makes the chocolate taste richer but not sweeter. This is a fabulous, adult chocolate cake that kids will appreciate, too. I've made it several times and I hope someone has a birthday soon so I can make it again.
