Recycled Art

This gorgeous hanging abstract art is made from slices of driftwood personally selected for quality from the fresh water shores of lake Erie. The focal point of this piece is an abstract wave. You can almost hear the sound it would make! The slices of driftwood were dyed white and blue, then varnished to seal in the color. The piece was then framed on 4 sides to complete the effect. Composed on a light weight board overlayed with cork to give a nice texture to the background. Comes pre-hung…

British-born sculptor Tony Cragg uses color families and a carefully curated collection of flotsam and jetsam in his large-scale installations. Born in Liverpool, Cragg has an amazing collection of pieces made from found materials from household trash to construction refuse. We love the impressionistic charm of his pieces- gorgeous and graphic from far away, intricate and detailed from up close.
