United Breaks Guitars. This is a protest song by Canadian musician Dave Carroll and his band, Sons of Maxwell. It chronicles a real-life experience of how his Taylor guitar (worth $3,500) was broken during a trip on United Airlines in 2008, and the subsequent reaction from the airline. The song went viral and within 4 days of being posted online United's stock prices went down 10% (worth around $180 million). This is why good PR is needed.
