Inspired by Art - Use a favorite piece of art to inspire a bedroom's color scheme. Here, a powder blue and sunny yellow palette takes its cue from the tropical flower painting above the bed. Consider choosing a less dominate color from the art piece to be the starring color in your room. And if you're painting your walls a bright color, continue color on the ceiling in a hue that's a few shades lighter.

This rich and vibrant A Level Art sketchbook page is a reminder that the high school sketchbook is a prime opportunity to demonstrate your love of Art to the examiner. Here, the lavish, gestural, brush strokes contrast with careful annotation, resulting in a composition that oozes passion.

A little while ago I came across a class over at Creative Bug that really inspired me to get back into playing in my sketchbook! I was looking for a fun art project that my daughter and I could work on together and discovered Lisa Congdon’s wonderful Sketchbook Explorations courses. They have really inspired both of us to start playing in our sketchbooks, in fact my daughter has nearly filled hers with doodles, patterns and drawings over the past month!
