This is a painting of Marie Antoinette. Marie Antionette heightened the rococo style through her luxurious dress and hair. Her clothing consisted of a lot of panniered, plunge-necked, stiffly corseted gowns. Although women wanted to dress and have their hair just like Marie Antionette, people thought the queen was creating financial problems for all the women of France.

Marie Antoinette   2 November 1755 – 16 October 1793), born an archduchess of Austria, was Dauphine of France from 1770 to 1774 and Queen of France and Navarre from 1774 to 1792. She was the fifteenth and penultimate child of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I and Empress Maria Theresa. She was executed by guillotine on 16 October 1793.
