22 Nov 1967, Dak To - Hill 875 2 Nov 1967, Near Dak To, South Vietnam –Members of the 173rd Airborne Brigade, many wounded during the bitter siege of Hill 875, huddle together here, wary of sniper fire, as they wait for evacuation helicopters. Reinforced American troops seized most of the strategic Hill 875 and dug in within hand grenade range of North Vietnamese fortress at the top. Fighting in the Central Highlands has been the fiercest in the Vietnam conflict.
Private, 78th (Highland) Regiment of Foot, or Fraser's Highlanders, 1757-1763 - "The 78th (Highland) Regiment of Foot was at the siege of Louisbourg in 1758, at the siege of Quebec in 1759 and at the battle of Sainte-Foy in 1760. It remained in garrison at Quebec until disbanded in 1763, some of its men remaining in Canada as settlers."
