Did you know? The Bendigo Botanic Gardens are one of Victoria's earliest regional botanic garden reserves. In fact they are almost as old as Bendigo itself with the site appearing on an 1854 plan of the White Hills township and the gardens officially gazetted in 1857. In 2001 the gardens were included on the Victorian Heritage Register due to their historical, architectural, scientific (botanical), aesthetic and social significance.
