03/18/14--again with the good news/bad news. In today's spring training game against Cleveland, the GIANTS lost. That's the bad news. But, hey, it's not really all that bad. In fact, the good news is Vogey said he felt good about the pitches he was throwing, his curveball was his best so far this spring and his change-up felt good. More in the good news category: Brandon Hicks, playing 2nd base, hit a 3 run HR for the GIANTS. Final score: Indians 12, GIANTS 11.

04/02/14--After last night's debacle, I was afraid the umps had it in for our boys. Luckily in tonight's game, the GIANTS looked much better and so did the umps. Tim Hudson pitched a helluva game. He went 7 2/3 shutout innings, allowing only 3 hits and striking out 7. Our offense wasn't on fire, but they got the job done with Adrianza scoring a run in the 5th, and Pence scoring on Morse's RBI double in the 6th. Final score: GIANTS 2, Arizona 0.
