The church of Saint-Martin-des-Champs stood in the now musée national des Arts et Métiers. The church existed as early as the 7th or 6th century according to archaeological digs. When it was plundered by the Normans at the end of the 9th it was an abbey. Later it became a priory. During the revolution the priory was a prison, a part was dedicated to the Museum of Arts and Crafts, and the other buildings torn down.
The Church of Saint Paul - Saint Louis (known as Église St. Paul) built 1627 - Le Marais, Paris - rue Saint-Antoine. Hugo uses the church as the setting for Cosette and Marius’s nuptials in "Les Miserables"
