My mom would hit me and yell at me all the time. I felt helpless and powerless. My granny always tried to protect me and sometimes she succeeded. One day, my mom turned on her and something inside of me exploded. I threw myself at my mom to make her stop. Love is powerful. J.S #OneBraveThing
A thousand times YES!! I don't understand how little some people care about others. It's even worse when it's close friends or relatives that treat you this way. Please, start thinking about how your words and actions will affect others!
Forgiveness is not saying, “What you did to me is okay.” It is saying, “I’m not going to let what you did to me ruin my happiness forever.” Forgiveness is the remedy. It doesn’t mean you’re erasing the past, or forgetting what happened. It means you’re letting go of the resentment and pain, and instead choosing to learn from the incident and move on with your life.
I was 5 or 6 years old and I was attempting backflips on our trampoline. I fell on my head and my neck hurt very badly. I was scared to try again. My brother...my hero...encouraged me to try again. I faced my fear and succeeded. I was proud. - U. R #OneBraveThing
Through my school we send shoeboxes to needy children through "Operation Christmas Child." Watching this video inspired me to help these kids after seeing how brave they need to be to survive in the crazy and terrible condidtions they live in everyday. I can't imagine living in a place like that and those kids bravery inspire me to help them in anyway I can. - Z. N. #OneBraveThing
