Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati was an Italian Catholic activist- a young outdoorsman who combined a deep love for Christ, a desire to serve the needy, and a mission to imbue society and politics with Christian ideals. He gave much of his money to people he saw as more needy, and he literally gave the poor the clothes off his back. His motto: "To live without Faith, without a patrimony to defend, without a steady struggle for Truth, that is not living but existing."
