Laphroaig Scotch Doesn't Mind If You Think It 'Tastes Like a Burning Hospital'

Laphroaig Scotch Doesn't Mind If You Think It 'Tastes Like a Burning Hospital' | Adweek

The Glenrothes 1979 Single cask Nº 13458

(A-) Laphroaig Cairdeas (2014 - Amontillado finish): The traditionally peaty and smoky nose includes notes of honey, heather, spices and a touch of oak. Joining the smoke and peat on the palate is citrus and some spicier spices (think curry). Peppery, with maybe a spot of chocolate as well. The lingering finish is dry and ashy. Complex, well-rounded and affordable(!) if you can find it.
