During my internship, I helped with the design of a Cape Cod house in Salt Lake City and learned so much about them.  The style originated in colonial New England and is known for its dormered windows.  The houses were designed for easy construction and efficient heating. Low ceilings and a central chimney kept rooms warm during cold winters in the northern colonies.
