One Green Planet is your online guide to making conscious choices that help people, animals and the planet. Our goal is to cut through the noise around issues related to food, health, animals and the environment and empower you to not only make better choices, but also take action and bring about change
The Hawaiian palm (Brighamia insignis) is a very unusual and decorative house plant. New leaves form in the crown and the older, lowermost leaves turn yellow and wither. In its natural habitat in Hawaii very few of these exceptional and decorative plants remains, so the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) is working together with scientists and volunteers, on a survival plan. For every plant sold, a sum is donated to the IUCN. Height supplied 25-30 cm.
Thank you for teaching us all about the trees in our beautiful city @friendsoftheurbanforest! We had a blast planting, pruning, and learning with you. We are primarily an internationally focused organization, but we volunteer in our community as much as possible. Do any of you have ideas for our next day of volunteering in SF? #thinkglobally #actlocally #giveyour100
