I loved Yeh's first book, also set on Long Island. Here, 7th grader Bea is a poet and dreamer who marches to her own beat, which costs her some friendships. When she befriends a labyrinth-obsessed classmate who can deduce had Asperger's, BEa leans to let her light shine through again. I liked the realistic ending-he friendship with S isn't completely patched up, but that's because Bea's learned to value her individuality.
