Jon Gupta is one of the UK's most promising up and coming mountaineers with an impressive track record of big ascents from all corners of the world. At 26, Jon has summited numerous major summits at 5, 6 and 7,000m peaks including: Island Peak (four times), Denali 6,196m, Ama Dablam (four times), Korjenevskaya 7,134m, Communism 7,495m and Khan Tengri 7,010m.

Having started climbing as a young scout in Derbyshire to gain his ‘Mountaineering’ badge, he has since moved onto bigger peaks in Scotland, the Alps and then the Himalayas, including an ascent of Khan Tengri (6,995m) in Kazakhstan in 1999, two trips to Alaska with Malcolm Bass including the 1st ascent of ‘The Prey’ on the East face of Mt Hunter in 2001.
