2 egg whites 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla (optional) 3 cups sliced almonds In a large bowl mix( do not beat) egg whites with sugar. Add vanilla. Stir in almonds. Using a tbsp. make mounds on a lined cookie sheet. Flatten into thin rounds with wet fingers or back of a spoon. Bake at 350F for about 20 min ( but I did about 10! So watch carefully) until golden brown. Turn oven off and leave cookies in oven with the door open for additional 10 min. Enjoy!
