This week we have been getting ready for Halloween! We have been exploring the scary sensory gloves which Lauren made. There were lots of different colours and inside each glove there were different resources - googly eyes, marshmallows and sparkly pom poms. We also enjoyed mixing the spaghetti and jelly.. It was very messy and sticky though! #Halloween
This week we've loved starting to take a look at our new topic "Under the Sea and Summer", this has involved exploring our new rock pool to see what different objects we could find. We loved using the spiky balls as 'puffer fish' and transporting the water into our buckets using spades and watering cans. We've also been busy creating lots of crafts this week for our display so keep a look out for the different under the sea creatures we have made!
The Cranberries have been enjoying messy play! They have explored the fish in the bubbly water. They have also enjoyed exploring the sparkly jelly with the animals #messyplay #playingandexploring #usingoursenses
The Cranberries have been busy exploring the play dough using one and two handed tools. We have been finding different ways to explore the play dough such as rolling, poking, cutting and squishing it #MakingLinks #PlayingAndExploring
We have been using the children’s interests to enhance our play in the Loganberries room. We have now removed the Gardening equipment from our mud and replaced them with our Dinosaurs. The children have very much enjoyed exploring this, and making lots of different dinosaur noises. Some of the children even know the names of the different Dinosaurs. #childrensinterests #Dinosaurs
This week in the Elderberries room our letters and sounds focus is alliteration. This morning the children have had lots of fun meeting Henry's parrot and creating names for him and the pirates starting with the same initial sound such as 'Peter Pan Pant Punk Parrot.' The children have enjoyed exploring nonsense words and showed high levels of enthusiasm throughout.
