This rare 19th century round lathe turned butter stamp with a peafowl hen design was found in New England. It has a screw in handle and is missing its outer case. Great patina! No damage or cracks, other than  minor age cracks as would be expected from age and use. No insect damage.  4"h., 2.5"dia.  It is almost identical to the figure V-359 in Kindig's book Butter Prints and Molds p.168.  Offered 10/2/14 on ebay for $395 by hammi.
