Dressing gown (Banyan), Denmark, brown cotton with printed colorful floral pattern. Japanese type of kimono cut. Small stand-up collar with button and buttonhole. The sleeve is folded. Lining of red multum. Used as a costume at the Royal Theatre in the 1780s where actors often supplied their own costumes. (c) NATMUS DK
