Orange Flowering Opuntia - A True Cactus - Has flat rounded "pads" with hairlike spines. These pads can be broken off (wear rubber gloves) and rooted directly into sand or soil. An excellent desert plant.
Polymer Clay Cactus WIP. A little potted cactus made of polymer clay. The flower on the top is glass and was part of a broken figurine. Toothpick spines are still to be added in some of the holes. The pot is filled with glass gems to give it some weight and the center of the cactus is a big ball of aluminum foil.

3. A cactus "giving birth!" Cacti are flowering plants that produce seed-bearing fruit, but the planet can produce its own genetic twin from pieces that have been broken off! The spine of a cactus can be used as a suture for wounds after they've been sterilized using hot coals.
