To develop the stand work from the pattern cutting session and to continue to relate back to my research I used scarves and objects on the stand that related to my muses random collections of things. I used the idea of the wadding on the mannequin and wrapping fabric onto the vase inspired shapes. I did this in my own time using the scarf objects in particular too clash prints as well as silhouette and texture.

I particularly like this pleated section inspired by the machinery at the MOSI as the texture combined with the printed scarf is really interesting.

If I was to do this again, or if I had planned my time more effectively I would have inserted some ruffle detailing into the seams as a way of finishing, inspired by Ossie Clark. I was advised by my tutor to incorporate this into my design however I sampled how I thought Clark achieved this finishing in my sketchbook and it didn't work very effectively. Due to time constraints I didn't think I had enough time to use this detail in my design as I hasn't refined it enough.
