Head of a Negro - John Singleton Copley  Interestingly, I think this portrait is far more becoming than most of this artist's work. Maybe he painted the white aristocrats in a more stylized manor and used more realism in this painting. Or maybe all the white people were just that ugly, I don't know. I wish we could know the name of this man in the painting.
