A lovely pearl and diamond belle epoque tiara worn here by Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone, sister-in-law to Queen Mary, granddaughter to Queen Victoria. To date this is the only image of this tiara, a stylised series of fronds, topped by pearls and rising from a band of substantial diamonds.
