First, I painted the toe kick black to give the illusion of a shadow under a leggy furniture piece. My next step to aid in the furniture illusion was to add legs to the cabinet. Because you hafta’ have legs on a leggy furniture look

Great space saving idea. the built-in kitchen table shown left. The top of the table folds in half so that it fits under a regular size countertop. The 2 legs are on wheels so it rolls back under the counter. It provides a nice work area.

This might could work on our long wall in the den. Just don't want another t.v. so close to the other. Maybe put a desk in the middle?
