Peach Cobbler in a Cast Iron Skillet "Old School" ... this is a classic "Old School" recipe just like your Grandma used to make. In your best southern accent, repeat after me... "Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa". That's the basic recipe for the cobbler. Cup of Sugar, Cup of Flour, Cup of Milk. You can use self rising flour and save adding baking powder and additional salt, but that's really the recipe. Very old school. very southern. And very tasty. AND VERY SIMPLE
"Old School" Chicken with Chicken Gravy This is Soooo Old School. Only two ingredients, a few hours in the crock pot and you have the most tender, juicy and delicious chicken... PLUS it makes it's own gravy. Simple in every way yet amazingly old school delicious and PERFECT!
Grandma's "OLD SCHOOL" Scalloped Potato Casserole - I love the "Old School", Grandma recipes. And why not? They have met the test of time with hundreds of thousands versions of this recipe served at hundreds of thousands of church basements! There is a creamy gravy on the insides (if served right, the gravy is still bubbling right out of the oven). with a topping of crusty slightly crunchy top. A perfect mix of textures for your pallet. The taste will take you back to Grandma's house
Old School Chicken and Rice Casserole - seriously THE BEST!!! Everyone cleaned their plate and went back for seconds - even our picky eaters!!! Chicken, cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, cream of celery, onion powder, garlic powder, water, milk, instant rice and parmesan cheese. This has quickly become a family favorite! We make it at least once a month. SO good!!
