Teaching Picture Books to Foster Critical Thinking: Inspired by Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, students learned that the choices we make influence consequences. Students examined their conscience by reflecting upon the daily choices they make. In a graphic organizer, students separated their choices by asking themselves, "Was this a wise choice?" They categorized their answers with "Absolutely!" "No Way!" Or "Maybe."
