William Colby, later Director of the CIA, was a member of Jed Team "Bruce" and is here with other Jeds after their initial missions ended -- which occurred when their positions were overrun by Allied troops advancing toward Germany, meaning that, by definition, they were no longer behind the lines. Colby, like the other Jeds, took on other clandestine assignments with the OSS. Many Jeds went on to distinguished careers in clandestine services. Most found their metiers in other pursuits.
