Color Matching Socks for S.  This great activity teaches young students colors, matching, and fine motor skills.  The teachers pre-drew a sock and the colored polka dots.  The students used tissue paper to match the colors and create a neat textured art project.

Finger Paint and Tissue Paper Trees.  These fun trees are simple enough to create but are also great for working on fine motor skills. Students use their fingers to create the trunk of the tree and then they had to squish tissue paper into small balls to glue on for the leaves.

Paper mosaics are a great way to use up all of leftover bits and pieces of construction.  For this project the students used scrapes of paper to make mosaic flowers.

Arm trains are a great way to incorporate body parts in to artwork.  For this project the students traced their arms onto construction paper and cut it out.  Then they cut the arm cutout into three parts.  The students added parts of the train to the arm cutouts and then created scenery.

Handprint Flowers.  These colorful flowers are great for brightening up any classroom or home.  We used basic tempura paint and construction paper to create the flowers.  The students picked out their own colors and the staff helped to paint the students hands and to place them in the right position.

Leaf Rubbings and Stick Frames.  Leaf rubbings are fairly easy to do but by adding a frame around art it becomes a great gift.  The students used string to tie sticks together and then a glue gun (done by the staff) to glue them onto the paper. We used these for Father's Day gifts one year.
