Jacques Derrida. His writing can be impenetrable at times, willfully obtuse, and obsessed with the smallest of details, but there's something about him that fires my imagination. He made me realize that "purity" is always a fantasy and we should strive to understand ourselves and others in all their complexity. He complicated life for me, but in a good way.
