Wonderful solid maple chest of drawers .. one of my favourite makeovers. This beauty was tossed as it was very heavy, painted several aged layers of paint (some of which I am sure were not eco-friendly based on the chemical reactions I observed while stripping it). A little TLC and patience turned out this gorgeous result. French grey paint on the body, gently waxed and distressed, new brushed pewter pulls and a lovely reveal of the glorious wood on top lightly stained with a walnut…

Portfolio: Gold Detail French Provincial Set

Giving an old chest of drawers the Hip Heritage look using stove pipe grey and old gold paints to great effect.

Stunning antique console table with iron bandings on base. Determined to be about 150 years old or more, the top had to be completely stripped through a layer of abusive mactac over damaged original veneer that could not be restored. In the end, the original quarter sawn walnut was revealed and revived to a gorgeous Jacobean stain finish with a protective top sealer. The drawers are original veneer that has been gently refreshed. Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint on distressed base. <3

Finished table 1 - Annie Sloan chateau grey with old ochre chalk paint, distressed base with clear and dark wax, gentle craquelure on top and General Finishes top coat.

Finished antique chest of drawers and floating vanity mirror - hand painted in Annie Sloan Old White and distressed with clear wax. Top stripped and restored in Jacobean stain.

Spectacular empire chest of drawers lovingly restored on top with natural seal. Body painted a soft chateau grey chalk paint finish. This lives in my home <3
