ADG: Great website of service ideas for kids. I love the idea to collect travel size toiletries to put into baggies for a homeless shelter, or write letters and draw pictures for children at a children's hospital.
"Penny of Time" Adventure: Kids Helping the Homeless, Delivering Care Packages to the Homeless. one experience in giving away a care package to a man sleeping on a city bench. It was one you won't be forgetting for awhile. Teach children to serve.
Good idea for teaching kids to help others: homeless goodie bags to give out when you see people in need. love this idea . I do not feel comfortable giving money. very useful and helpful, would add a bible or bible verses.

Service Project ~ Socks of Love ~ Fill one sock with necessities (toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth soap, comb, etc.) - also don't forget to include the other sock. Then donate "Socks of Love" to homeless shelters or send to troops overseas.
