Trainer Noble Threewitt was a handsome 21-year-old when he took out his training license in 1932. He was a trainer for 75 years and became an icon at Southern California tracks, and was leading trainer at Hollywood Park in 1959, 1960, and 1961.  His horses included Correlation, Devoted Brass, Old Topper, King of Cricket, Sea Eagle, Debonaire Junior, Honeys Gem, Mountain Glory, Perizade.

While driving by the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar yesterday, I came across this beauty.   The horses of Southern California. ;)  It probably generates more than 1 hp and probably gets 60 miles/bale. :)  Efficient long distance traveler - CleanMPG

Throwback to the beautiful & kind stallion Strike (*Aladdinn x GWYNDALYN, by *Bask++), who is pictured here with his friend, a donkey named Jackson. This gorgeous boy was National Champion in 1985 – a competitive year with over 44 horses entered. Strike lived out his long life with his breeders & friends the Gallun family in Southern California. #tbt

The Derby    Few restaurants in the world have the type of rich history in them like The Derby, (it was purchased in 1938 by famed Seabiscuit Jockey George Woolf)  This restaurant is almost a museum to the amazing history of Southern California Horse Racing....... Besides being one of the great steakhouses in the LA area the memorabilia inside this establishment is incredible. check out the the story of this unique restaurant here

The Club’s activities include polo lessons, scrimmages, tournaments, polo trips and an active social life. Barbeques after the matches are a common event with all members of the families taking part. Most all its members learned the game of polo at the Club and have purchased polo horses and become active members of the Southern California polo community. Each year a contingent of OC Polo Club members travels to Buenos Aires, Argentina to attend polo camp and watch the Argentina Open.

The children and young adults who visit us come from troubled backgrounds, some in foster homes, others struggling to stay sober, and still others dealing with depression and the anxieties of life.    Together they help each other heal through unconditional love, unwavering trust and a keen understanding of what the other has been through.
