The Middle Magdalena Basin is an intermontane basin located in northwestern Colombia between the Central and Eastern Cordilleras of the Andes and has an enormous amount of snake species, most of which are harmless to man. Here, I present some of these spectacular snakes.

▲▲▲The gold-ringed cat snake or mangrove snake (Boiga dendrophila) is a species of rear-fanged colubrid. It is one of the biggest cat snake species, averaging feet in length. It is considered mildy-venomous, but there has never been a human fatality.
