Showing vintage glass beads, antique copper 'saucer' spacers, vintage brass beads, tiny shell spacers and Azurite beads. I made the clasp from antique copper wire. The beads are strung with antique copper coated beaded wire and two antique copper crimping beads were used.
On the left is a shell button with a blue bead wired on. The red 'charm' is a small rosary case. Next to it is a brown beer bottle top with added beads. The tiny bottle has watch gears inside that I got from an old watch.
Because I love to watch the show,' Ancient Aliens' and I really love the jewelry that Giorgio Tsoukalos wears I decided to create my own version of one of his necklaces. I used Carnelian stones and nuggets, garnet red Czech glass beads, Italian Onyx gemstone beads near the clasps, antique copper spacers and four random beads I can't really identify. Everything is strung on antique copper beading wire and the toggle clasp is also antique copper.
On the left is the back of the shell button. Buttons are good to use as 'charms' because they can be wire-wrapped and beads can be added. I added the wire and created the swirl with a tool. Rosary beads were attached to the top.
The sunlight sort of washed the color from the pendant. This necklace is strung on 0.46mm 'bright' beading wire so it's thick to hold these weighty beads. The bright blue nuggets are called Aura crystals. Also on this necklace is the following: Druzy quartz rondelle beads Black Tourmaline nuggets Lava stone beads Large goldstone nuggets Small goldstone beads Raw garnet nuggets Large silver saucer spacers and of course the very cool hand blown glass pendant.
Copper toggle secures this necklace. Instead of beading wire or thread, I separated a strand of fake sinew and strung the stones on it. Sinew is very strong and because it is waxed it was easy to thread it through the tiny holes.
