Feb 03, 1959.... rising American rock stars Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson are killed when their chartered Beechcraft Bonanza plane crashes in Iowa a few minutes after takeoff from Mason City on a flight headed for Moorehead, Minnesota. Holly and his band, the Crickets, had just scored a No. 1 hit with "That'll Be the Day." So sad I can't even believe it, till this very day!! But what icons and forever rock n roll legends Xoxo F
Buddy Holly died On February 3, 1959 in a small-plane crash together with Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper. That day is still known as "The day the music died". Sometimes I wonder what other beautiful songs he would have made if he hadn't died at age 22. Weezer named one of their songs to him.
