Friends and family gathered at Temple Emanu-El in New York City on Sept. 7, 2014 to say goodbye to iconic comedian Joan Rivers.

Racheal Ray, who arrived at the ceremony with her husband John M. Cusimano, was among the celebrities who took to Twitted to mourn Joan Rivers. "What a loss of a legend and amazing woman... Rest in peace @Joan_Rivers," Ray tweeted on Sept. 4, 2014.

Andy Cohen who knew Joan Rivers both personally and professionally, arrives to the service to mourn the woman whom he called "electrifying." "She was smart, she was shrewd, she was loyal. She came prepared, she wanted to kill, and she always did," Cohen said about Joan during an interview on "The Today Show" on Sept. 5, 2014.

The funeral program for the service includes a quote from Joan on one side, and the order of the service on the other.

One of many historic buildings that has been destroyed is the Dharahara tower, a once 9-story temple that has been reduced to nothing but rubble. Around 200 people were reportedly inside of the tower when it collapsed according to police.

The Hubble Space Telescope captured this large cloud of gas that in turn "spawned dense internal knots which gravitationally collapsed to form stars." The image, released back in Dec. of 2012, shows many young stars scattered in what remains of the initial gas cloud.
