Digitalis purpurea 'Sutton's Apricot' AGM Tubular, apricot, flowers from June to August on tall stately spires above a rosette of rough, mid green leaves. Height 120 to 150cm. Spread 30-45cm. Biennial but seeds freely.
Acanthus spinosus is an herbaceous perennial. There are other species but this is my favourite as I prefer it's more dissected, thistle-like leaves. A mature clump in flower is an impressive site. Scroll down this board for further details.
