Woolworth Building. NYC - 792ft Tallest building in the world from 1913 until 1930; tallest building built in the U.S. and the world in the 1910s.

The Woolworth Building at 233 Broadway, Manhattan, New York City, NY, USA. It was designed by architect Cass Gilbert and completed in 1913 and designed in the neo-Gothic style. It still remains one of the 100 tallest building in the USA.

I love the path to the front door... A unique project--turning a ranch house in an historic neighborhood of Craftsman bungalows and various 1910s and 20s period revivals into--a welcoming Craftsman with a Southern-sized front porch and an extensively gardened yard. The project added a 2nd story, an upstairs porch, a large dining room, as well as a rather radical aesthetic overhaul.

I always thought our front porch roof should have gone up and open like this not a shed roof like we have. - My New Gardening Plan
