Anorexia/Bulimia is perpetuated by the idea that their is some ideal beauty standard that we must conform to. Rather than allow the media to continue to encourage this school of thought, perhaps if we looked at beauty as how we see ourselves, eating disorders could be reduced and women would have a better understanding of how to feel "beautiful".
“What makes a woman beautiful? The gospel teaches us that true beauty is more than skin-deep. A woman whose countenance is aglow with both happiness and virtue radiates inner beauty.” From Elder Robbins’ inspiring message http://lds.org/new-era/2008/11/true-beauty; http://lds.org/ensign/2010/06/canaries-with-gray-on-their-wings/what-is-true-beauty
