It is only a few years old, and it features a beautiful man made canal running through the center of the mall.  The mall is all decorated for Christmas, even though it is  a month and a half away.

Today, walking down the streets of Tsumago you will feel like you slipped back in time to the Edo period. Despite its historical appearance, however, Tsumago is fully inhabited, though with tourist shops as the town's main business.
