Binh Danh's Chlorophyl Art    The unique thing about these images is that they are printed on leaves. Large flat leaves are pressed with a photo negative on top between two sheets of glass. They are then exposed to sunlight for several days or weeks. The sunlight imprints the image on the leaf by the natural process of photosynthesis. To keep the dried leaf from crumbling, the leaves are encased in a block of clear resin and framed in black laquer frames.
