Keeping a close eye on the strong storm system that will move through the Tennessee Valley Thursday evening.  Main threat continues to be damaging wind gusts of 50-60+ mph, with the tornado threat remaining low.  The Storm Prediction Center has outlined a Slight Risk for severe storms on their Day 3 Severe Thunderstorm Outlook, extending from Alexandria, Louisiana to southern Michigan.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed north/central Alabama, central Mississippi and extreme northeast Louisiana in a Slight Risk for severe storms today. Main threat will be strong wind gusts, but the risk remains low.
