The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority hosted a media roundtable today to announce the latest tourism statistics in celebration of the United Nations World Tourism Organization ‘World Tourism Day’ held this year under the theme of “Accessible Tourism”.
In celebration of ‘Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016’, the inaugural Bahrain Food Festival was launched yesterday at Block 338 in Adliya. The 10-day event, organized by Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority, will run for ten days and is positioned as a culinary exhibition that showcases the Kingdom’s emergence as a gastronomy destination.
Bahrain is currently chilling out with a very cool and creative Summer Festival that defies the soaring mercury. The Bahrain Summer Festival, the popular month-long annual showcase of amazing shows and top artists organized by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, is now in its 8th edition. Themed as “Your Destination Bahrain”, this festival is a part of a larger initiative aimed at promoting Bahrain as a pioneering hub for cultural tourism both regionally and globally.

This is a unique event of its kind visitors enchanting world of snowy full of fun and entertainment for the entire family, as will be launched at the beginning of next July to coincide with the Eid al-Fitr.

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority announced today that it will host a ‘Sea Festival’ next month with an aim to celebrate the Kingdom’s rich link to the sea tying it to several traditions and cultural activities such as pearl diving and dhow making.
In a glittery ceremony, the Bahrain Light Festival was launched by H.E. the Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani in the presence of the Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority Sheikh Khaled Bin Humood Al Khalifa.
As part of the ‘Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016’, the traditional souks of Bahrain have recently witnessed the ‘Hurafuna Handicrafts Festival’ aimed at showcasing the Kingdom’s rich heritage by exhibiting to visitors the traditional open markets of Bahrain.
