BART riders are using the transit system's new security app to complain to police about Black and homeless people and to report non-crimes.

I have to remember to do this instead of money! And before I get comments for giving money - I hand it to them, look them in the eye, and tell them that God has a plan for them and they will do great things. I pray the money I give will feed them more than they expect.

Good idea for teaching kids to help others: homeless goodie bags to give out when you see people in need. love this idea . I do not feel comfortable giving money. very useful and helpful, would add a bible or bible verses.

At first I think Nora will struggle financially and will soon find a small job like the one she had trying to pay off her debt.

Being homeless is illegal in so many cities that you can't legally sleep anywhere at night.  Yet, the cities refuse to provide adequate shelter.  If it weren't for charities, nothing would be done.  I know a man who brings his RV every Saturday to a church so that the 40 plus homeless folks in the area can take a shower and get new socks and underwear.  God Bless Frank.

Why do we call them "homeless" people? People don't refer to me as a "house" person and we don't call people "condo" or "apartment" people. We focus so much I'm the "homeless" part that we forget the "people" part. Passing By the homeless without a care.

[ ] I want to do a bit more than just buy a full meal. There have been times in my life where we have almost been homeless, I know that feeling. On the other hand, I know of someone that told me that they saw a homeless guy on the street with a sign begging for money, and he went and bought the person a meal at a fast food place. But, after he gave it to him and walked away, he saw the guy throw it away in the trash. So, maybe he was not an honest man.

Buy a homeless person a full meal. It did more for me than it probably did for the gentleman I purchased the meal for. That's the best part of random acts of kindness and giving back.
