Spring in a skein - the yarn from April's yarn club was this gorgeous mix of spring colours. I chose a really special alpaca silk blend for this months yarn it's so soft and feels lovely against the skin ( unless you are allergic to alpaca like me! ) There's a few extra skeins just gone up in the shop if you'd like one. I've been trying out favourite colourways on different bases. I absolutely love this - Neon Storm on a silk merino base which makes the colours so soft and muted. This is the DK Dazzler base in stock now.
As they've all arrived now I thought I'd show you the July Yarn club - one of my favourite bases Sprightly DK. It's bouncy and strong and gives amazing stitch definition. But this month everyone was talking about the free gift! It was so popular I'm going to get some for the online shop so if you don't know what it was keep an eye out! There's still time to sign up for next month so use the link in the profile to join in with a monthly box of gorgeous yarn and gifts.
Do you recognise this yarn? The speckle is a yarn club yarn from last summer and I was pleased when @minnobaarman choose it for her project at the Crochet Retreat this weekend. It was so interesting to see how this pattern works with speckled yarn. Minno dyed these solid skeins to coordinate and turn it into the amazing summer blanket. I can't wait to see it finished.
