In 1974 Wrigley's gum was the first product to feature a barcode. Its inventor Joe Woodland was inspired by the Morse Code 'I remember I was thinking about dots and dashes when poked my four fingers into the sand and, for whatever reason - I didn't know - I pulled my hand toward me and I had four lines.'
Orangina created 75 years ago an original concept with the "Orangina bottle", which became after years a famous symbol of the brand. The packaging makes the difference thanks to its glass bottle and specific round shape. The attractiveness of the packaging comes from its original orange bottle form and specific colors (blue and yellow) which facilitates the recognition of the product in store shelves. Moreover, the glass bottle adds a quality image to the product (natural, authenticity).
