The Christmas tree in the family room- it was mostly bird ornaments, rustic, bells and pinecones. One of the best tricks I learned from a decorator friend is this - artificial trees always need another dimension to make them look fuller. Buy a few garlands and cut them up, and stuff them into the tree. The ones I used had icy tips, and looked great. I just keep them in the tree year to year. Caution, it makes stuffing it back into the original box hard, I ended up buying a tree bag for it.

Another favourite tip- I have, over the years, collected Christmas boxes from home sense and Michaels. they look great as decor under the tree, make wrapping a snap, more environmentally friendly as there is in garbage or throw away, and I use them to organize, pack and store Christmas decor after Christmas!

Another shot into the kitchen from the family room. I have a thing for birds I guess. The counter stool wraps were made by my friends @nexttimearound in Cambridge Ontario. I loved them!

More Christmas boxes in the boys bedroom. Psst - I actually hid some Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers in the boxes before Christmas - hiding things in plain site as it were- If you read my Christmas tree boxes blurb in this board, you know how much I love collecting these boxes and using them for a variety of purposes

Living room mantle. Kristy's brilliant idea to hang my garland at the bottom of the mantle. That way I get to see my gorgeous beam mantle (not hidden by the greenery) and left plenty of space and depth to put whatever we wanted on the mantle top!
